Folkways was a vegetarian restaurant on Madison, Wisconsin's near-east side from 1986 to 1991.

My friend Ben Birkett owned it. Tofu Marango was on the menu. Every Monday night there was a free soup kitchen.

It hosted my first mask exhibit in 1990. I featured the work of Herminio Candelario.
